OOTD :: AEO dress and Happiness?

Dress :: American Eagle  Necklace :: Simple Addiction Boutique  Shoes :: Hot Cakes brand

I come to you today with an OOTD. But at the same time a talk. I usually dont get this personal but I mean this is what this blog is for right? Okay? Okay. And I view you all as my friends so we talk about this right?

So recently I have had a hard time blogging. And why this is, I dont know. I couldnt tell you. Blogging is something that I look forward to most of the time and recently I just feel exhausted. I dont know why. I think I must be in a rut of some sort.

So if I skip a couple more days than usual please forgive me. I have had a super hard time since I have gotten back form Hawaii. I guess my "happy" decided to stay there? And not with just blogging. I have been super meh almost all the time.  So if you have any tips on how to regain some sort of happiness until my happiness gets back from Hawaii, that would be great.

  1. Let me start by saying that I wish my toes were as adorable as yours so I could post pictures in my Jacks! And, for what it's worth, I love your purple dress and think the yellow compliments it perfectly!

I get in blogging ruts all the time. It's hard, because so much of our social media use revolves around showing the positive aspects of our lives and when we feel a little meh, finding good content becomes difficult too. HERE is a link to a post I was just reading the other day about blog breaks, hopefully you'll find it as reassuring as I did. Hope things go back to normal soon, and I'm always an email or Tweet away if you need anything :)

  4. Hey I understand the blogging rut, I say just take another week off. That's what I did and then by the fourth day I was really missing blogging and had all these ideas and stories building up in my head, so by the end of the week I had my mojo back and was ready to go! Everyone needs a break.

  5. I've been the same way, I think it's because theres so much other stuff to do in the summer months I don't want to be inside. It's nice to take a break from a bit!

  7. I have found I am way more devoted to blogging in the winter. I think it's because I have to stay inside every night anyways! It's hard in the summer because I want to be outside, enjoying the weather! Take a break when you need to : ). It's important to keep it fun!

  8. I totally understand your blogging rut! I was in one myself for a long while (you can definitely see it if you look at the number of posts I wrote this spring!). I think it's good to sometimes take a break and let your passion grow again! At least your pretty tan came back with you from Hawaii! :)

  10. I love the purple dress! It's so summery and looks great on you! I know what the blogging rut feels like and honestly, don't feel bad because I think it happens to all of us. Take the time you need, share what you want, and come back refreshed!
